Learn about and put into practice the Japanese stitching and mending process known as Sashiko. It has been also become an artform of simple, geometric designs, traditionally with white thread on indigo fabric, and is used for mending, reinforcing clothing, and as a decorative art form. There will first learn briefly about what sashiko was used for traditionally and then some brief instruction on how to put it into practice in artform. Registration is preferred but not required for this program.
