Reading and dogs--a perfect combination. Ruff Readers is a collaboration between the library and West Michigan Therapy Dogs, and it's a great opportunity for new readers to grow confidence. Studies show that kids tend to see dogs as non-judgmental, and that reading to them improves their reading fluency. Come early and choose a book from our shelves if you don't have one at home that you want to read.

Each day we will have dogs available for one hour, and kids will sign up for one 15-minute session each.
