Herrick Main Library

Description

One Theme. Four Hours. Infinite Creativity.

Gather your crew (3–5 people) and join us for a filmmaking challenge! You'll have just four hours to write, shoot, and edit a short film based on a mystery theme revealed at the start of the event. Then we’ll screen everyone’s films, vote for our favorite, and crown a winner! With over $100 of prizes on the line you won't want to miss this!

All experience levels are welcome. Participants may bring their own computers or may use some of the provided laptops and software but do be warned that laptops and software are limited. Participants should bring their phones and chargers as we will have options both for mobile phone-based filming along with some limited options for DSLR Filming.

We have five laptops available with Blender installed on all of them. Two of them also have the Adobe suite available on them. Use of generative AI is not allowed for script writing but is allowed for creating VFX and creating a score.
