Teen Inkscape Series

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Herrick Main Library

Description

For Teens 13-18

Teens join us in Groundworks for this four-part series to learn the basics of Inkscape, a free graphic design
alternative to Adobe Illustrator.

Day1:

Learn how to navigate through the program and use the basic tools.

Day 2:
In-depth instruction on how to use the Bezier tool and see how we can use it to make stickers.

Day 3:

We will use what we've learned and show how we can combine these skills with other resources to create a 2-tone map.

Day 4:

Put everything you've learned into practice! You'll have time to use your new skills to create a digital design and bring it into the physical world. Use your designs to create a custom coffee mug, skinny tumbler, vinyl decal, or stickers for your water bottle.

These skills are gained through the week. Attendance is needed each day to be able to do the next day's activity.
Because of the software we are using, teens MUST be at least 13. Registration Required.
