View the WKAR Special, Building the Reading Brain, exploring the science of reading, then participate in a panel discussion with local reading experts and leaders.

Reading is not always an easy skill to learn, and we get a lot of requests for help motivating readers. We know reading problems can manifest in children for a variety of reasons: lack of interest, lack of early intervention, a missing puzzle piece in their overall health, and the list goes on and on. We believe the (sometimes reluctant) readers in your life are full of potential, and whether you’re a caregiver who’s out of ideas to motivate your child or an educator looking to explore some fresh new ways to advocate for your students, we have a series of evening speakers and programs created especially for you.
