Join Lakeshore Nonprofit Alliance and Herrick District Library for another workshop in our Basic Computer Literacy Series, Presenting like a Pro.
In the first part of this interactive workshop, we will show how to get started with PowerPoint templates and themes, or build a new presentation from scratch to quickly create, edit, and share professional-looking presentations. We'll start with the basics such as changing the slide layout and adding and editing text, images, charts, video, and animation. We’ll also cover tips and tricks like formatting slides for consistency and add speaker notes and comments to ensure a smooth delivery. Strategies for creating inclusive and accessible presentations for users with disabilities will also be discussed. By the end of the workshop, you'll know how to use the PowerPoint tools and follow a few simple design rules to draw attention to your message and deliver a professional presentation.
The second half of this workshop will focus on the basic elements of delivering a presentation to an audience, including what makes up a great presentation, how to stay on message and even how to manage technical difficulties while you’re presenting.
This workshop is designed for beginner level users/presenters who want to hope to hone in on the important skill of creating and presenting like a pro.
